Construction Material and Equipment

Iran has also achieved great progress in other segments of the construction industry. Production of basic construction materials and products such as aggregate, paving material, cement, iron beam, artificial granite, building stone, dry wall, fittings and fixtures have in many cases multiplied. Also, a large number of factories have been built in various parts of Iran which manufacture a wide range of reasonably-priced construction machinery and plants, including earthmoving and paving equipment , truck mixers, material handlers, dumpers, crushing and batching plants, and well designed concrete formwork systems. For instance, the equivalent of a 300 hp, D8, Caterpillar bulldozer, which costs as much as 300,000 dollars on international markets, can be purchased in Iran for Rls.70,000,000 or about 90,000 dollars at the open-market exchange rate.
